Joren Molter

Joren Molter is a commercial and film director known for the feature film Zomervacht. After graduating from the Film Academy in 2016, his graduation film Greetings from Kropsdam was selected for 54 international film festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, Busan, and Palm Springs. Kropsdam won 13 international awards, including the audience award at the Warsaw International Film Festival.

Joren was then selected by the European Film Promotion for "Future Frames: Ten New Directors to Follow" at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, making him the first Dutch director to receive this honor. His TV film Dòst was sold to Amazon and translated into 27 different languages.

In 2022, Joren directed his first feature film Zomervacht, based on the bestseller by Jaap Robben. Summer Brother was nominated for four Golden Calves (the dutch oscars), was selected as the closing film of the Netherlands Film Festival, and was named the best Dutch film of 2023 by Dutch film critics.

After graduating, Joren started his career as a commercial director. His first commercial, When did you stop caring, was nominated for a San Accent Award. Since then, he has directed nearly 100 commercials for television, cinema, and the internet. His commercial Amsterdam Pride was nominated for The Best Social Award Video 2020. His commercial work is internationally represented by La Belle Facon for the French market.
