Aline Boyen

Aline’s love for art and images manifested itself very early; as soon as her thumbs were strong enough to hold a camera she stole her parents' camera to take pictures. She spent all of her pocket money on 35mm film and Ilford black and white photo paper to develop the pictures herself. 

As she grew older the photographic images in her head began to move and she discovered her passion for storytelling. Her creative approach is playful and quirky, with a poetic touch. Aline’s way of working is intimate and responsive.

Alongside her passion for intimate work, Aline is working on a podcast, a feature film and a TV series and has had multiple short films tour festivals globally.
